When your hamstrings are tight, your back pays the price
Inflexible hamstrings & inner thighs (groin area) are often connected to lower back pain due to their influence on
👉🏻pelvic alignment
👉🏻lower back stress
👉🏻overall posture
This is how:
When hamstrings are tight, they can pull the pelvis downward (posterior pelvic tilt).
This tilt reduces the lower back's natural curve, potentially leading to back pain.
The adductor muscles of the inner thighs play a role in stabilizing the pelvis.
If they are tight, they can cause an imbalance in the pelvis, which may lead to compensatory movements and strain in the lower back

Tightness in the hamstrings and inner thighs can limit hip mobility too.
Since the hips and lower back are closely connected, any restriction in hip movement can increase strain on the lower back as it compensates for the lack of mobility.
It can also lead to nerve compression, particularly affecting the sciatic nerve, which runs from the lower back through the hamstrings.
These are the issues I solve daily with my 1:1 clients.
